SUMMER OF 2015 PROGRAMS  

 UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT-DEADLINE MARCH 6 FOR FEE DISCOUNT.  The Pre-College Summer at UConn program is a serious academic opportunity offering high school juniors and seniors the chance to study and live on a top-ranked public university campus.  Choose from one of twelve challenging and intensive one-week sessions
(Session I: August 2 - 8, 2015 OR Session II: August 9 - 15, 2015).  Cost is $195.  Go to

UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA-DEADLINE MARCH 16 FOR PRIORITY DEADLINE.  Engineering summer academy for rising 10th-12th graders.  Students can earn college credits in each of 5 programs:  biotechnology, computer graphics, computer science, nanotechnology, robotics and engineering complex networks.  Go to www.seas.upenn.edu/esap for more info. 
DUKE UNIVERSITY-SUMMER COLLEGE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS-DEADLINE APRIL 15.  This program is for current 10th & 11th graders to earn college credit for more information and for an application, go to http://summersession.duke.edu/high-school-students.  They are also holding a non-credit academic camp this summer for grades 9-12. 


RENA'S PROMISE-A ONE WEEK INTENSIVE WRITING PROGRAM.  Serving teens who want to explore their unique gifts as writers in a camp setting with other like-minded teens.  Camp located in Shelter Island, NY.  COST: $1200.00 for residency w/$100.00 immediate Scholarship Award.  $600.00 for day students.  http://www.renaspromisesummercamp.org/apply-now/ 
UNITED STATES COAST GUARD ACADEMY SUMMER PROGRAM-DEADLINE APRIL 1.   COST $400.  Students must be juniors in high school between the ages of 16-18 to apply and be physically fit.  Go to http://uscga.edu/admissions2.aspx?id=92 for more information. 
UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY SUMMER STEM CAMP- DEADLINE APRIL 15.  Success oriented, project-based curriculum for rising 9th, 10th and 11th graders.  Camps are held each June and are one week in duration. GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM-DEADLINE MAY 1.  For rising 10th-12th graders. Credit and non-credit bearing courses are available.  Go to www.summer.gwu.edu or www.precollege.gwu.edu for more information.  
LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE-ROLLING ADMISSIONSCost is $900 but scholarship is available.  For rising 10th-12th graders.  Through lectures and hands-on laboratory investigations in state-of-the-art laboratories, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, biochemistry and medical ethics.  Go to

CHOATE ROSEMARY HALL SUMMER PROGRAM-ROLLING ADMISSIONS.  A five-week Academic Enrichment Program for high school and middle school students, as well as four- and two- week programs.  Choose from among our six signature programs: Writing Workshop, High School Math & Science Workshops, Immersion Geometry, Choate Volunteer Corps (service-learning destinations in Connecticut or Tanzania), Documentary Filmmaking, or Study Abroad in China, France, Oman or Spain.  We also offer six innovative institutes of learning: The John F. THE TAFT SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAMS-ROLLING ADMISSIONS.  Designed for young men and women in grades 10, 11 and 12, the Liberal Studies program offers high school students the opportunity to study a variety of liberal arts courses in an independent school environment. Students will be able to sharpen their academic and test-taking skills, increase their independence, improve time management, as well as broaden their cultural and global awareness as they prepare for college and beyond.
