Girls' Science Investigations: The Extraterrestrial World
The topic for September 19th is the Extraterrestrial World: Have you ever wondered if there is life on other worlds? How do you find out about something so far away? In this session we will learn about different methods of probing other planets. You will experiment with lenses and build useful devices with them. You will also construct your own rocket that you can launch into the sky!

Science Saturdays is a special lecture series designed for families that brings the excitement of research and the passion of scientists to school-age children. Each event involves a lecture by a Yale professor and engaging science demonstrations run by Yale college students. The series is free and open to the public and the topics explored are for students in 7th grade and above.
