A Couple of Recent Parent-Link Messages

In case you missed them --
Time to Use Technology, Water Issue at School Resolved, Resource Fair
"Greetings,

We'd like to inform parents and students about a new program at ESUMS which we believe will facilitate student learning and act as an assistance model for those that may be struggling or need extra time with the technology. This model will also encourage heightened collaboration amongst the students at all levels.

On Mondays and Thursdays from 2:00p – 5:00p, ESUMS will offer the expertise of technology faculty that will be on site to facilitate your student’s coursework.  This extra help will include:

·       Time to use technology
·       One-on-One help from peer tutors and faculty
·       Quiet time to focus on work with minimal interruptions

If you think your student will benefit from this intensive preparation, please contact us to get your student started.  Through collaboration and organization, we can make sure that your child finds success and graduates on time from ESUMS.

Yours sincerely,  ESUMS Technology Faculty  Mrs. Manzione, Mr. Tynes, Mr. Rock

"Good Day,
This message is from the Engineering & Science University Magnet School regarding the issue of brown water in our school last week.  Please see the message below from the principal.
The Regional Water Authority was called last week to check the water at ESUMS. They visited the school and did seven different tests.  All came back good and no cause for what had appeared to be a brownish color to water in a bathroom toilet was noted.  As a precaution on the day of the alarm, students were asked not to drink from the water fountains and lunch was altered to a menu that did not require exposure to the water.
At ESUMS were are alert and proactive.  We understand that some students and their families may have been concerned about the water and that a report on the status of the water is needed.  Know that the water in the building has been declared safe to consume.
Medria Blue-Ellis, Principal"
