Free Geology Talk Tomorrow in Milford

INTRODUCTION TO GEOLOGY AND MINERALS OF CONNECTICUT

230 million years ago Connecticut was connected to Africa and early dinosaurs roamed our state.  Volcanic activity was forming West Rock,  East Rock, Sleeping Giant and the Higby Mountain range.  The discussion will include examples of mineral specimens and fossils which can be found in various localities throughout Connecticut.
