2015 Challenge to Educational Citizenship Award: Every year the State Student Advisory Council on Education accepts applications for the "Challenge to Educational Citizenship Award Program." Projects should demonstrate good citizenship, a commitment to others, civic awareness, leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and an opportunity to students to help others. The application is due April 17th.
Last year, we submitted for the Citywide Student Cabinet & received a certificate of recognition. This year, we wanted to extend the opportunity to schools to submit applications for any school-level student council projects. The application is attached below.
State Board of Education: The application is now open for interested JUNIORS who wish to apply to serve on the State Board of Education. Students must be enrolled in a public HS, have B+ GPA, be a rising senior, and be able to attend monthly full-day meetings in Hartford.
