The Annual ESUMS Walkathon will be held October 1, with a rain date of October 2. Envelopes went home on Tuesday, but if your child didn't get one, please ask him or her to stop by the office. We are striving for 100% participation, so having a real envelope with your child's name and funds will allow him or her to be counted.
The Walkathon funds benefit students all year long; it is the only major fundraiser the PTO does. Funds support field trips, field day, clubs, academic activities, dances, the college trip, teacher appreciation, and many other worthwhile school functions. When you donate -- or help your child to request sponsorship from friends, neighbors, family members, and local businesses -- remember that you will not be asked to sell cookie dough and wrapping paper(at least not by the PTO!).
Our goal is for each student to raise at least $25. Prizes will be awarded on the day of the Walkathon. Parent chaperones and snack donations on the day of the event would also be most welcome. Prize donations (gift cards, tickets, etc.) would also be gratefully received. Thank you!
