An opportunity to bear witness to several controversial items being presented for funding:
$72,000 to Charles Williams (NHPS retired administrator) “to provide support, coaching and mentorship to the leaders of the three academies at Hillhouse High School. . . in an amount not to exceed $72,500.” Hillhouse has been broken in to three smaller schools. Each "Academy" has a principal.
$116,500 of New Haven magnet school money (??) going to the Montessori charter school to go to “Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), to curriculum planning, consultation and professional development for faculty of Elm City Montessori School . . . in an amount not to exceed $116,500.
A $104,000 “gift” from hedge fund multi-billionaire Ray Dalio to allow teachers to connect to their home computers to the school district network.
$175,000 to Jennifer Kramer-Wine (The Fairview Agency) “to provide support and strategic consulting on TIF (Teacher Incentive Fund) Grant for NHPS Talent Office . . . in an amount not to exceed $175,000”
