A Math Team Update from Mr. Smith

Hello ESUMS community,

Here are a few math related announcements

Congratulations to the following AMC 8 participants

3^rd place: Matthew Ryan; 2^nd place: Aimin Anuar; 1^st place: Gwendolyn Towne

  There was a lot of competition and several students were within points of our 3^rd and 2^nd place finishers. Ms. Towne stood alone and earned an Honor Roll distinction for finishing in the top 5% of test takers nationwide.

Congratulations also go to the ESUMS math team for their work in the Greater New Haven Math League against schools such as Choate, Hamden Hall, Hopkins, Cheshire HS, Amity HS,  Notre Dame, Hamden HS, Branford HS, West Haven HS, Hillhouse, Sound School, Sheehan HS, Platt HS, East Haven HS, and North Haven HS.

Varsity Results: ESUMS team placed 6^th and qualified for the State competition

High scorers Varsity League #1 Prastik Mohanraj and #3 Hizami Anuar

Junior Varsity Results: ESUMS team placed 2^nd

High scorers Varsity League #1 Prastik Mohanraj and #3 Hizami Anuar again!
